Quantum computing for quantum tunneling

چکیده

We demonstrate how quantum field theory problems can be embedded on annealers. The general method we use is a discretisation of the problem into Ising model, with continuous values being encoded spin chains. To illustrate method, and as simple proof principle, (hybrid) annealer to recover correct profile thin-wall tunnelling solution. This applicable many nonperturbative problems.

QUANTUM TUNNELING IN MEDIUMS WITH LINEAR AND NONLINEAR DISSIPATION

We have applied the method of integration of the Heisenberg equation of motion proposed by Bender and Dunne, and M. Kamella and M. Razavy to the potential V(q) = v q - µ q with linear and nonlinear dissipation. We concentrate our calculations on the evolution of basis set of Weyl Ordered Operators and calculate the mean position , velocity , the commutation relation [q, p], and the energ...

Path-Integral for Quantum Tunneling

Path-integral for theories with degenerate vacua is investigated. The origin of the non Borel-summability of the perturbation theory is studied. A new prescription to deal with small coupling is proposed. It leads to a series, which at low orders and small coupling differs from the ordinary perturbative series by nonperturbative amount, but is Borel-summable. ⋆ E-mail address: [email protected]...

Dissipative Quantum Tunneling : Quantum Langevin Equation Approach

The quantum Langevin equation is used as the basis for a discussion of dissipative quantum tunneling. A general analysis, including strong coupling and non-markovian (memory) effects, is given for the case oftunneling through a parabolic barrier at zero temperature in the presenceof linear passive dissipation. It is shown that dissipation always decreases the tunneling rate below the barrier an...

Driven quantum tunneling

A contemporary review on the behavior of driven tunneling in quantum systems is presented. Diverse phenomena, such as control of tunneling, higher harmonic generation, manipulation of the population dynamics and the interplay between the driven tunneling dynamics and dissipative effects are discussed. In the presence of strong driving fields or ultrafast processes, well-established approximatio...
